What do I do with my car?

To legally drive in the Yukon, drivers need three pieces of documentation: a valid driver’s license, valid registration, and valid insurance.

According to law, new Yukoners must transfer their driver’s licenses within 120 days of moving to the Yukon.

The Yukon recognizes United States drivers licenses. That means that, if you’ve had your license for a year or longer, you can apply for a Yukon driver’s license without taking another test.

Vehicles must also be registered with the Yukon government within 7 days of entering the territory.
